THE ELECTRIC COMPANY

When The Me Nobody Knows closed on Broadway, Children's Television Workshop (CTW) hired half of the musical's cast (Irene Cara, Hattie Winston, Melanie Henderson and Douglas Grant) to star in their new show, The Electric Company (Northern Calloway was hired for Sesame Street).  The Electric Company became a great success.  After its first 2 years on the air, CTW hired Gary William Friedman to be the Music Director and Composer for The Electric Company.  Gary wrote over 60 songs, including the popular "Spiderman Theme" - for which he wrote the words and music and was the vocalist (under the pseudonym Will Power).
A CD single of the Spider Man Theme Song is available at Amazon.com and iTunes. Listen below to the funky big band version!
